Cambridge, Ohio—Spend a glorious weekend relishing in all things Victorian during Dickens Victorian Village's historic downtown Cambridge December 13- 15, 2013.

December 13

It’s a Wonderful Life CPAC at 7pm – This timeless classic is presented in the historic Cambridge Performing Arts Center in downtown Cambridge. Tickets are available at the box office on the day of the performance. $10 Adults, $8 for students and seniors.

Meet the Author – Rainey Day writers will autograph their stories from the Holiday book

December 14

English Country Breakfast 9am at the Guernsey County Senior Center with music, stories from the Rainey Day writers reading their stories, and live entertainment.

Sherlock Kids Club - Start your adventure at the Dickens Welcome Center, 643 Wheeling Avenue, where you meet Sherlock Holmes and pick up your sleuthing kit. Spend the day exploring the Dickens Victorian Village while you search for clues to solve the mystery. Participants gather for reserved seating and refreshments on the Guernsey County Courthouse lawn at 5pm. Compare notes and see if you have the correct answers. The mystery will be solved just in time for the Music & Light Show. Sleuthing Kit includes: Sherlock Hat, pipe and magnifying glass as well as your clues. $10 per child

It’s a Wonderful Life CPAC at 3pm

The Joy of Christmas - A piano and organ concert featuring Lisa Pugh and Tim Marlatt, will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at First United Methodist Church, 641 Steubenville Ave.

Dickens Victorian Village takes place from November through mid-January each year when Historic Downtown Cambridge comes to life with 89 scenes of 160 lifelike figures representing classic scenes from Victorian society. To add to the festive atmosphere, each evening from 5:30pm – 9pm, the magnificent 1881 Guernsey County Courthouse pulsates to holiday music with synchronized lights.
